Ok well, we might be a little biased here, but we sure think this is the most exciting way to get into the heart of the Adirondack Wilderness. 17 miles of river with Class III-IV whitewater, a little swimming, a little splashfighting, incredible scenery, a riverside lunch and hearty post rafting dinner–what could be better? Give us a call on availability or book now to secure your spot.
The Adirondacks have over 2,000 lakes and ponds. That’s a whole lot. Our staff has paddled quite a few of them and can help you pick the perfect one to paddle with your group. We rent canoes, kayaks and tandem kayaks for off-site use and run a self-guided trip on the Lower Hudson that takes the hassle out of boat transport.
There’s no shortage of hikes in the Adirondacks. While this is definitely a benefit, it can be a little overwhelming to know where to start. Chat with our staff to get some local favorites or get started at Adirondack.net’s hiking section. Some of our go-to hikes in the greater North Creek area are Peaked Mountain, Crane Mountain, Moxham Mountain, Pack Forest, Raymond Brook to the Ski Bowl & Balm of Gilead.
During your rafting trip, your guide probably gave you some of the local Adirondack lore. A great, hands on way to dive deeper into the area’s history is to visit the Adirondack Experience (formerly Adirondack Museum). This isn’t any old museum, the Adirondack Experience gives you an interactive look at the backstory of the Adirondacks in a truly beautiful setting.
Head to one of North Creek’s bars or restaurants to settle in with dinner and a drink. Many restaurants and bars in town run great weekly specials that are worth checking out.
We love helping folks find fun stuff to do, we’re in the business of it after all. Give us a call, talk to a real live human and get pointed in the right direction. 1-888-454-8433. Happy Memorial Day!
